White Christmas in Maine or BUST!!

What a super time we had in Maine!! The kids & I took off from Phoenix mid-morning on the 26th...on a non-stop flight...WOOHOO! They did great, as they do most times. Beauwin gets so excited to get on the plane - I don't have to even speak to him until ~ 45 mins into the trip - HAH! Ireland is loving our family adventures, although she would like them better if she could run up & down the aisle a bit more. When she gets real tired and won't "give in" to her fatigue...I have to hold her real tight & sing or shhhhhh until she poops out. Its the scary looks from those passengers that don't have children that make me laugh. Don't worry, she can't carry on like this for much longer - at some point she will give in - and she does. PHEW!! So - we headed right up to Maine for our vacation and started off with a bang with our family party at Benny (formerly known as Auntie Bren) & Uncle Mark's house. It was a blast. Nana worked extra hard this year on goodies for everyone - my fav was a sweater & beret set for Ireland, it is DARLING!! The kiddos love being with their family - especially Nate & Ian - my "little" cousins. They are SO good to our children and that makes me love them even more, which I didn't think was possible!! We carried on with outings to Nate's basketball game, then a visit to Nana at her new "diggs" and even some impromptu visits with Great Grammie Hart, Aunt Cheryl/Linda & cousins, Nor & Danielle, our "NH Jare friends" and even some time with one of our newest friends, Lily (Kristina's little one). All in all - we had a WONDERFUL time. I am overwhelmed each time we visit at the preparation & hospitality we are blessed with and the constant coordination on our behalf - making it possible for us to simply "show up". My family is the BEST...I am SO grateful for each and every member and look forward to making memories with them in 2009! xoxox

A snowman!!
Happy Birthday, dear Jesus. COUSINS RULE!!!!!!! We love you all!!!

HAHAH - I HAD to post this one - this is so typical for us. Beauwin was being a SHYSTER, Ireland wouldn't smile in spite of my whooping & hollering, Macaylah didn't feel good & Dougie wouldn't take his hood down so we had to put EVERYONE'S up!! Ultimately, we DID get a great picture for Nana which we framed, to thank her for the adorable birthday sweaters she made each kiddo. Thanks, Nanny.

Nana is amazing!! I love the sweaters! I'm so happy you got to go home and have such a wonderful time. The kids will always have such great memories! I think I might just have to join the party sometime. Maybe get a nana sweater?:)
