HELLOO! I feel it necessary to backtrack a bit as we've had quite a busy year with our family. In May we travelled back to NH to "celebrate Jared". We had originally planned the trip as Jared was scheduled to deploy to Iraq. And while that has changed - insert sigh of relief - he is dealing with some trials that we felt he could still use some support. SO - as they say - the show must go on! And in our family - that means the party TOO! We celebrated in style at Fratello's (thanks to our dear friends there) and showed Jared all kinds of love - including his best friend, Eric (they entered USMC together in 96), and his family flying in for the week from Florida - now that was a hard secret to keep!! Funny enough - Tim told Jare he had met "this Marine" at the hotel that was in town with his "beautiful wife & kids" for a wedding and "he really wants to meet you (Jare)" - he should write movie scripts I swear. Because at execution time, Tim snuck down to the car for the "camera" (or something) while Tom & I tried to keep Mom & Jared occupied (I think they were BOTH trying to head home) and escorted Eric & Angi upstairs to our room. He busted into the room and said "Jare - this is the Marine I was telling you about!!" Covered in goosebumps yet??! It was AWESOME! You'll see it took Jared a minute to realize...Tim really had him fooled :) I've posted the video for you - please beware of Noni's screams - it even makes sweet baby Alira cry & Brody just stared in shock - but it was a wonderful moment and just another testament to amazing friend he found back in NH years ago...what a lucky guy. We headed home from a week of great fun with Eric, Ang, Brody & Alira and filled with gratitude for our amazing family & friends. It's amazing how this tight knit (yet spread out) group pulls together whenever needed. We are truly blessed to have each other - all of us! Seems "Semper Fi" applies to more than just the bounds of the Marine Corps...
