As you know - we LOVE going to our little commuter airport to see what's going on. Sometimes we pack a picnic or grab a bite along the way and sometimes we just show up. Like last week - it was a windy, windy day so we thought we'd swing by the "ORport" as Beauwin calls in. Well, we were in luck because a twin rotor USMC CH-46 Sea Knight (thanks, Uncle "Jaro") landed right in front of us - it was SO cool. We watched as they taxi'd in and then did all their logs & preparations. Finally, the 4 Marine pilots were headed to the terminal, so Beauwin started waving like crazy. Nicely, they all waved back - Beauwin then turned around and said "mom, they are SO cute!!!" NOW - let me clear one thing up - I say that about a LOT of things - kitty's, new little cousin "Baby Max", dad, etc. BUT I have NEVER said that about pilots at the airport - out loud anyway!!BUSTED!!!
